Well, what a week it has been. This week was homecoming week and we had a lot of wild and wacky events happening around the school. From crazy hats, nerds to a few of the elderly, it was certainly a week like no other. It was really fun to see all the students and teachers dressing up in full costume to show their Wildcat spirit. Of coarse, geriatrics day would not be complete without a friendly, walker hall racing competition.
Although we have had lots of fun outside of class we have certainly accomplished a lot in class as well. Students have been working on a project that required them to find, print and the nine major parts of a computer. Students have learned about the basic functions of the heatsink and fan, CPU, RAM and motherboard. It has all been quite interesting.
Last of all the students were introduced to Quizlet. Quizlet is a great Web 2.0 tool that allows you to make and study note cards. It allows you to play several different games with your card sets as well as study and test yourself. It is also available as an app on iOS. Students spent time creating and studying different note card sets for all of their core subjects. Hopefully, this experience has helped them become more familiar with a great Web 2.0 tool, as well as, getting some valuable study time for their other classes. DeleteYes. Homecoming week has been super fun. first hat and crazy socks day, then nerd day! That was a fun day I dressed up like a cute nerd. It was great. After nerd day it was old people day. I litterally looked like a grandma. I wore a mo-mo stuffed my shirt and had a wig on with a cane. It was super fun. Now it is red and black day. Today is also peperaly. Yay I can't wait to see all of the people watching us cheerleaders on the floor. We also got to wear our cheerleading suit which are red black and white. So I am in the spirit for red ribon week! Go Cats!

ReplyDeleteWow, is all I can say. This week has been the funnest yet from going to hats and socks to nerds to old people and now to red and black with mums! This week has been fun, crazy, weird, and kinda stupid but, I know that we have a lot of fun and next week might be boring but oh well this week was worth it with all the laughing and dressing weird.

HMM... Homecoming week has been fun and really awkward because i got to see my best friend, grandma style. I am super exited about getting to watch the game tonight and Friday night, it should be FUN!

Then we have a pep rally and that will be so much fun. We have a game tonight and tomorrow which the Jr. high and high school band will be playing in. So i can't wait. GO WILDCATS!!!!

ReplyDeleteThis week at school has been different than all the others,well of course its homecoming, first of all we got to dress up with crazy socks and hats.I got to wear my favorite hat (cookie monster) and my best socks(zebra print with sparkles).The next day was nerd day, but like in the movies where do you see a nerd without a football/ bully so i wore my football shirt that day.The next day was geriatric day and so i dressed up as a nursing home helper while my peers dressed up like elders and some looked very convincing.Today we have been dressing up in our school colors "Red and Black so bold!"
